TYPE 2 DIABETES GROUP CLASS

Following a GP referral, individuals with Type 2 Diabetes are eligible for an initial assessment followed by  8 x 60min group classes that are largely subsidised by Medicare.  These classes are fully supervised by an exercise physiologist.

Prior to starting, a thorough initial assessment is conducted followed by the development of an exercise program specific to you and your goals.  You will then have a 1:1 session with an exercise physiologist to learn the exercises so you can feel comfortable before joining the group.

EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY GROUP CLASS

Feel safer with supervision? Seeking some accountability? Enjoy being around others? Wanting to continue on from your 1:1 sessions?  Whatever your reason we welcome you to join our 60min fully supervised group classes.

Following an initial assessment you will have a program designed specifically for you.  An exercise physiologist will then take you through your program in a 1:1 session so you can learn the exercises prior to starting in the group.

These sessions may be eligible for a rebate with your Private Health Fund.

Workers Compensation & Motor Vehicle Accident

If you've been injured at work or in a motor vehicle accident our exercise physiologists can assist you with recovering from your injury and returning to work/previous activity levels.  We aim to have a good understanding of your situation so we can create a plan specifically designed to address task demands and reduce your risk of re-injury.

Following a referral from a GP or other specialist, an initial assessment will be conducted to gather information about the injury, gage current physical capacity and decide on appropriate goals.  A proposed plan using this information will be sent to the insurer for approval prior to treatment commencing.
